Rail Tie Plates

The railroad tie plate, also known as the rail base plate or sole plate of the rail, is the main component of the heavy -duty rail or rail support system during the railway construction. The rail tie plates are not only used to support the rails, but also to fix the entire rail fastening system. It always works with the anchor bolt or spikes, with the load of the rails, and transferring part of the load to the tie sleepers. It has a flat and smooth support surface to ensure vertical alignment and keep the rail on the correct track gauge in railway line system.

Type of railroad tie plate:

1. Single shoulder tie plate

For the tie plate, the single shoulder is designed at the end of the plate. The short end of the plate is placed inside the rail, which is why customers always require the width of the bottom of the rail. The tie plates are usually used for rails from 56 pounds to 100 pounds.

2. Double Shoulder tie plate

Currently using tie plates. The older single shoulder types are suitable for a variety of rail width, and the shoulder is located outside the rail (on -site side).

3. Casting railway tie plate

The tie plate can be cast iron or cast steel, depending on the load and rail type. Cast iron can be welded or assembled, depending on the customer's requirements.

4. Base plates for KPO fastening systems

A rail base plate is a key part in KPO fastening system to support the rail and fix the whole fastening systems, tied onto the rail with rail bolts and railroad spikes.

5. AREMA standard tie plate

For American market, the common sizes include 11inches, 14inchies and 14-3/4inches tie plate, they are generally for 5-1/2inches and 6inches width rail base.

6. Hook Twin Tie Plates for Railroad

HTTP, full name HOOK TWIN TAIL PLATE, is widely used in turnouts positioned behind the switch bottoms. In order to ensure the distance between the tie plate, HTTP often uses a single tie.

Different available varieties:

For 3/4 '' hook twin tie plate: L23, L27, L31, LR23, LR27, LR31, H23, H27, H31.

For 1 '' ' hook twin tie plate: L29, L33, L37, LR28, LR32, LR36, H29, H33, H37, H41.
