Railway shoulders are prefabs in concrete sleepers, either single or double, used to secure elastic rail clips (mainly e-clips) within the fastening system.
Kingrail Parts can produce various railway shoulders according to UIC, AREMA, GB, NF EN 1563(1997), DIN, JIS, BS and other standards..
Cast in Shoulder:
Cast in Shoulder is cast in iron, the shoulder is pre-embedded in the concrete sleeper and used together with the elastic clip to hold the rail.
In terms of material, there are 3 types of cast shoulders: MCI shoulders for malleable iron and SGCI shoulders for malleable iron and SGCI shoulders for ductile iron.
Other available materials: QT600-3, QT700-2, ZG25, ZG35, ZG45, etc.
Standards: GB/T 1348-1988, NF EN 1563 (1997), ISO1038, DIN 1693, JIS G5502 (2001), KS D 4302, GOST 7293 (1985) or BS EN 1563 (1997).
Welded on Shoulder:
The welded on shoulder is made by hot forging. This kind of shoulder is used in the places where the standard sleeper cannot be used conveniently, and the shoulder needs to be welded on the flat steel base plates. In this way, it is possible to manufacture rail fixing units on rails and base plates, always in accordance with AREMA standards.
Welded on shoulder can be used with Pandrol clips ranging from 30 lbs to 113 lbs.
Special Rail Shoulder
This type of shoulder can also be made by hot forging, with rail clamp bolts and special rail clamps to fix the rail, and the material is low carbon steel or medium carbon steel.
